A NANTWICH racer believes the future is bright after his bold business move was successful.

David Witt, owner of Jordan Racing Ltd, has completed a takeover of Chevron Racing Cars Ltd.

The company will continue to manufacture GR8 and GR8 GT3 Chevrons at a new workshop in Crewe.

David, who raced in the 2012 British GT and GT Cup Championships along with his son Jordan, said: “I’m delighted we will now be running the Chevron GR8 and GR8 GT3 out of the new Jordan Racing facility.

“We have some exciting developments in the pipeline for both cars and we are retaining the key members of the original Chevron team who have worked so hard on the evolution of the car to date.”

In British GT racing David teams up with experienced racer Ray Grimes, while Jordan pairs with Anthony Reid, a 15-time British Touring Car Championship race winner, BTCC Masters and Independents Champion, and 24 Hours of Le Mans podium finisher.

Jordan added: “As a team we are looking forward to all of the exciting opportunities on the horizon at Jordan Racing.

“We are looking forward to completing the next step of our development programme before heading into testing over the winter.”
