Like Sony and a plethora of other AAA publishers, Microsoft held a massive press conference at E3 2018 and used the show to announce a plethora of new games, including Halo Infinite and Gears 5.

Here’s all the biggest news from the Microsoft show, including trailers from some of the biggest games.

How can I re-watch the Microsoft E3 2018 briefing?

The press conference might have been and gone, but you can re-live it (or just skip to the highlights) thanks to the Twitch player we’ve handily embedded at the top of this page for you – or read on to find our pick of the best trailers.

What did Microsoft announce?

To be honest, it would probably be quicker to list the games Microsoft didn’t show off, as its massive show included 50 different games, 18 of which were Xbox or PC exclusives, and 15 of which were world premieres. So, uh, there was a lot.

We’ve listed our top five highlights – with their trailers – below, but there were new trailers from loads of other big games including Crackdown 3, Fallout 76, Kingdom Hearts 3, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Metro Exodus, Dying Light 2, Devil May Cry 5, Jump Force, and loads more.

Halo Infinite

Microsoft was so confident this year that it opened with a glimpse at a brand new Halo game… and then ignored it for the next two hours. We don’t know much beyond the cinematic and the title, but that’s enough for us to guess this might be some sort of expansive online multiplayer title – though we’ll have to wait to find out more.

Gears 5

Microsoft actually announced three new Gears of War games this year, but teased the one that mattered behind a Funko Pop collaboration for mobile and a PC-only strategy game. The big news is really Gears 5, of course: the next mainline Gears game, and the first with a female protagonist.

Forza Horizon 4

Yeah, we all knew this one was coming, but a new Forza game is always a good thing. Horizon 4 is an open-world online game set in the UK, and its big innovation is dynamically changing seasons, which look far more dramatic than any weather the UK actually gets.

Cyberpunk 2077

Xbox’s big show closer was our first real look at Cyberpunk 2077, the new game from Witcher developer CD Projekt Red. There was no gameplay footage at the Xbox show, but the teaser trailer shows off a brilliant, vibrant sci-fi world that we can’t wait to explore.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

Remember that teaser for Bloodborne 2 a while back? Turns out it wasn’t Bloodborne 2 at all: it was Sekiro, which looks an awful lot like Bloodborne, except you play as a samurai. Need we say more?
