THE Brunei Council on Social Welfare (MKM) in association with Yusof Halim & Partners (YHP) held an Iftar event for 200 needy people and orphans at a local hotel for the sixth consecutive year.

All the head of families attending were given a hamper of Hari Raya goodies and a ‘green packet’. YHP sponsored the Iftar buffet while MKM, through donations collected, bought Hari Raya goodies assembled into hampers by its members.

Eighteen orphans were also invited to the buffet. The orphans together with the children attending were also given ‘green packets’.

President of MKM Mohd Yusof Halim, who is also a partner at YHP, thanked those who attended and said that it brought joy for them to continue the tradition of the buffet for the less fortunate.

“This is something that YHP started six years ago, and Alhamdulillah, we are able to make it an annual event as part of our corporate social responsibility,” he said.
