It’s festival season but no one is packing welly boots and tents to head to Worthy Farm this year. There is no Glastonbury 2018, but we’ll explain why and also give you details on how and when you can buy tickets for Glastonbury 2019.

Glastonbury 2018 doesn’t exist because the festival is taking a ‘fallow year’ to give the land, local residents and organisers a break.

A plan to move the legendary event to Longleat fell though, and although founder Michael Eavis said he would make the 2018 festival a thing if an unnamed band reformed, that appears not to have happened.

You can, however, go to the Glastonbury Abbey Extravaganza which will be headlined by Paloma Faith on 4 August.

Glastonbury 2019 Dates

Although there’s no festival in 2018, we can already tell you that the Glastonbury 2019 dates are 26-30 June, 2019 (with the main stages open on 28 June).

Glastonbury 2019 Lineup Rumours

It’s going to be a while before the official lineup is confirmed but that doesn’t stop there being rumours about who will play and headline.

Michael Eavis has hinted that some of the biggest acts who will play Glastonbury 2019 will include “two or three that have never played”.

This means that 2019 could be the year for a number of bands, many of which it’s hard to believe have never graced the stage at Glastonbury. They include Led Zepplin, Fleetwood Mac, The Beach Boys, Elton John and The Stone Roses.

Elton John has said: “I don’t think I am a Glastonbury type of act, but having said that I played Bestival and had a great time…so we’ll see.”

There are also more modern pop artists that could headline such as Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar.

Glastonbury 2019 Tickets and Registration

The first thing you need to do to be in with a chance of getting tickets for Glastonbury 2019 is register. You can do that here and you’ll need photo ID.

If you registered before 2010, you’ll need to do it again if you haven’t already.

Just note that this does not guarantee any tickets. It merely means you’re registered for when tickets do on sale, which normally happens in October. You’ll need your registration number to buy tickets and you can do it online or by phone.

When on sale dates and links are available we’ll add them in.

The organisation warns to watch out for fake tickets. All official tickets are sold via See Tickets so do not buy any from anywhere else.

Glastonbury 2019 Price

A price for the 2019 festival hasn’t been announced yet but the 2017 ticket cost £238 with a £5 booking fee. It won’t be a surprise if 2019 is a little more expensive at £240-260.

The ticket price includes entry and access to more than 100 stages, five nights camping, a programme, mini guide, phone charging and more.
