Toronto tragedy: 10 dead, 15 hurt as van hits pedestrians; driver arrested

At least ten people were killed and 16 others injured after a van plowed into pedestrians in Toronto’s northern suburbs on Monday, police said. City hiring bucks trend with strong growth in vacancies

Employers in financial services bucked the trend set by other professional sectors in March with a strong increase in the number of roles available, according to data to be published today. NUMBER OF ZERO-HOURS CONTRACTS INCREASES

THE number of zero-hours contracts in the UK has increased to 1.8 million over the past year, new figures show. The total in the year to last November increased from 1.7 million in the previous year, said the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
